Demi Lovato is getting "serious" with her boyfriend.

A friend of the star said: "They are getting beyond serious.

"I saw them recently and she looks so happy and in love. In fact, she is hoping that he will ask him to marry her this year.

"She says that Wilmer is her soul partner and she could never see herself with anyone else."

Demi was recently spotted shopping at a furniture store in Sherman Oaks, California, where an insider revealed that she was looking for something for the couple's home.

The source told RadarOnline.com: "I overheard Demi telling the salesclerk that she wanted ‘her and her boyfriend’s home’ to be warm and comfy.

"She said she loves reds and earth tones and wanted their bedroom to be romantic, dark and passionate.

"She also bought a ton of candles because she said that Wilmer loves candles."

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old singer recently publicly dec lared her love for Wilmer.

Next to a selfie of the pair, she wrote: "I never post personal pictures like this but f**k.. He is perfect. I miss my @wilmervalderrama (sic)".
