    Olly Murs still gets starstruck.

The 'Wrapped Up' singer has met his fair share of celebrities since appearing on 'The X Factor' in 2009, but confessed he still feels jittery when he meets people he really admires such as David Beckham.

Recalling the moment when he met the footballing hero earlier this year, he said: "He'd actually asked to see me. I was at a football game and a woman came down and said, 'David would like to meet you.'

"I ran to his box and we had a great chat about Comic Relief, which we'd both been involved with. I have to admit, I was starstruck, but I soon realised he's just a normal guy.

"I've been a fan of his since I was a kid - and he was everything I wanted him to be."

The 30-year-old star - who counts Robbie Williams and Simon Cowell amongst some of his close friends - also worked with Paul Weller on his new album, 'Never Been Better'; another moment which he found unbelievable.

He explained: "I can't believe I've worked with him on my new album. I'm a huge fan and he's the soundtrack to my childhood."

Luckily for the 'Dear Darlin' hitmaker, the former The Jam lead singer soothed his nerves so he wasn't left speechless by the experience.

Talking to the Sunday Mirror newspaper, he added: "It could have been intimidating, but he was very comfortable around me. I didn't feel that at all.

"He was intrigued by my experience of the industry."
