Gwen Stefani is tempted to escape her everyday stresses by going to a motel.

The 'Hollaback Girl' hitmaker was appearing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', during which the host told Gwen: "You look fantastic. Especially considering that you have three boys that have to be ... Kingston, Zuma and Apollo now. I just saw them backstage, they could not be cuter."

Gwen, a coach on the current series of 'The Voice, responded: "They all wanted to come. They don't really go to 'The Voice' that often, but they wanted to come to this. They love you. They're smart."

Gwen also took umbrage with the suggestion that her kids are unusually well behaved, joking: "It gets crazy. Everybody knows that whole 4-8 at night is like chaos. It's like the crazy time in our house. "The other day we were driving home and I was thinking ok Motel 6. If I can just find one and go there and disappear. Disappear from my life.

"But, no. They're incredible."
