Taylor Swift thinks her music would be "more beige" if she hadn't suffered "humiliation, embarrassment or devastation" in her life.
The 24-year-old singer is known for writing songs about her famous exes - who include Harry Styles, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Jonas - and believes she wouldn't have won as many awards or sold out as many gigs if she didn't write about her person heartbreak.

She said: "The songs I've written about my moments of humiliation, embarrassment or devastation have gotten me the greatest sense of clarity.
"If my life had been turbulence free, no bumps in the road at all, maybe my music would be more beige, maybe the stadiums wouldn't be so full and the mantle would be a little more empty."
The 'Blank Space' hitmaker - who has won an incredible seven Grammys, 15 American Music Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards and seven Academy of Country Music Awards - also admitted she doesn't ever trust anyone who claims they haven't regretted anything in life.
She added to ASOS magazine: "I can't stand having regrets, but you're supposed to have them. Anybody who tells you they went through life without regret or error isn't telling you the truth and they shouldn't be trusted."
