Nick Jonas has a "healthy" sex life.

The 22-year-old musician - who has been in a relationship with model Olivia Culpo for 18 months - wore a purity ring when he was a teenager in the band The Jonas Brothers which symbolised he had made a vow not to have sex before marriage as part of his Christian beliefs.

Nick admits he has embraced his sexuality over time and lovemaking is now a part of his life just like any regular person.

In an interview with Alexa Magazine, he revealed: "As far as the sexuality goes, I think that just happened for me over time, I think sex is part of a healthy life. So I have tried to be, in my transition into adulthood, as honest with myself as possible with sex and sexuality and what it means to me so I can try to be as healthful as I can."

However, one thing the 'Jealous' singer won't do is make love to any of his own songs as that would be too "uncomfortable" for him and his partner.

When asked if he'd ever bedded a girl with one of his tracks playing in the background, he said: "No, absolutely not, you can't do that. Or with music from other people you know. That'd be so uncomfortable."

Nick - who was in The Jonas Brothers with his siblings Kevin and Joe - recently admitted he doesn't regret wearing his purity ring because he was fully committed to staying chaste.

He said: "I don't regret (wearing a purity ring). I think that it was an important part of my childhood. As I grew up, I sort of figured out what was important to me, my own belief system, which we all grow up, we all live life and find out what's important to us. I am now comfortable with who I am and what I believe in."
