'Harry Potter' star Tom Felton was sorted into Gryffindor when he took a quiz to join fan site Pottermore.
The 27-year-old actor - who plays Daniel Radcliffe's nemesis, Draco Malfoy, in the movie franchise –failed to follow in his character's footsteps and join evil Hogwarts house Slytherin when he took the online quiz, which poses personality questions, and ended up a member of Harry's house instead.
28 January 2015
Tom - who starred in the movie franchise alongside Daniel, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson from 2001 to 2011 - shared his dismay with his two million followers on his Twitter account.
He wrote: "Today was the day. I finally did it. I joined Pottermore and was sorted into........Gryffindor. Heart broken x #slytherinforlife (sic)."
He also posted a link to his Instagram page where he shared a photo of himself disappointedly staring at the Gryffindor house crest on his computer screen.
He captioned the image: "Oh b******s! X"
However, 'Harry Potter' author and Pottermore creator J.K Rowling did her best to console Tom and insisted she had always known he had been a Gryffindor at heart but had opted not to tell him so he would continue to portray the evil wizard to the best of his ability.
She wrote to him on Twitter: "@TomFelton I could've told you that years ago. I just didn't want to spoil your motivation ;) (sic)."
