Emma Stone made a Powerpoint presentation to convince her parents to let her be an actress.

The 'Birdman' star has revealed that at the age of 14, she sat her parents down and used a slideshow to explain why acting meant so much to her.

She shared: "I made a PowerPoint presentation for my parents when I was 14. I asked them to let me move to LA.

"[It was] all about why I should be an actor. I never wanted to do anything else, from 7 on. It wasn't a flight of fancy."

The 26-year-old actress also admitted that she finds presentations easier because otherwise, she'd start crying.

She added: "I asked to be home-schooled in a different presentation when I was 12. That was on a clipboard. I'm not kidding.

"I make presentations because when I feel strongly about something, I cry. When I feel really passionate, I get overwhelmed, and it makes me cry. I learned early on to be more logical and make presentations."

Emma - who is dating her 'The Amazing Spider-Man' co-star, Andrew Garfield, 31 - also joked that she would "punish" her future children if they said they wanted to go into the acting business.

In an interview alongside Eddie Redmayne for the New York Times newspaper, she said: "Can you imagine if your kid said that [they wanted to be an actor] to you?... I would punish mine."
