Sofia Vergara wants to get married this autumn.

The 'Modern Family' actress and Joe Manganiello - who she got engaged to last month after six months of dating - are keen to tie the knot as soon as their busy schedules allow them to find the time.

She said: "We're trying to figure it out because... he's shooting and promoting 'Magic Mike' this summer and I'm promoting my movie with Reese Witherspoon ['Hot Pursuit'] and so we're kinda busy, but we're trying to do it maybe [in the] fall, summer is going to be too crazy."

The couple have already begun planning their nuptials and the 42-year-old beauty - who has 22-year-old son Manolo from her first marriage - admits the guest list is getting out of hand.

She said: "It's big. We started, like, 'It's only 20.' Yeah right! It's like now there's like pages and pages."

Sofia showed off her diamond engagement ring on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards last night (25.01.15) and though she joked she is "all about the bling-bling", she admitted she would have accepted the 38-year-old hunk's proposal regardless of what jewellery he offered.

She told 'Access Hollywood': "It's all about the bling-bling, so he knew what I needed. I opened it up and I checked it to see...

"He's so handsome that it would have been okay, you know? I would have said, 'OK, yeah.' "

While she is smitten with Joe, the actress admitted she had a great time watching him and his hunky co-stars shooting stripper sequel 'Magic Mike XXL'.

She laughed:"I went to see the filming and it was like really crazy. I was very distracted. It was not only him, it was Channing Tatum, it was Kevin Nash. I mean, there [were] a lot people doing it, so I was like in a candy store."
