Tinie Tempah believes he's about to become a father after spotting a white stork at his house.

The 26-year-old rapper is nervous he might be a baby daddy after he saw the bird - which in legend is believed to deliver babies to new parents - foraging in his garden.

He posted on Twitter: "I saw a stork in my garden today ... Like a real life massive Stork. The ones that are supposed to bring you babies ... Should I be worried? lol (sic)"

In ancient European folklore, the white stork delivers infant children to people's homes in a basket held on the animal's back or in its beak.

The myth was popularised by Danish fairytale author Hans Christian Andersen in the 19th century in his story 'The Storks'.

In some countries, it was believed would-be parents would let the storks know they were ready to receive a baby by placing sweets in the window of their home.

Tinie has seemingly been quiet on the dating scene as of late, but did reveal last year he was tired of romancing "temporary Miss Tempahs".

He said: "I don't want there to be too many more temporary Miss Tempahs. Initially, it was amazing - blonde ones, dark ones, tall girls, short girls - but the novelty wears off. And you're dealing with people's feelings after all ... I want to meet someone I trust and I want references. I want to know what their family values are, core beliefs. All the important stuff; whether they want to be a mother, whether they take drugs, have they got a good relationship with their mum and dad? I'm growing up."
