    Liv Tyler has named her newborn son Sailor Gene Gardner.

    The 'Leftovers' actress, who already has son Milo, 10, with ex-husband Royston Langdon, revealed her baby boy's moniker on Instagram on Friday nine days after she and boyfriend Dave Gardner welcomed him into the world.


    The 37-year-old star shared a picture of the tot's hands holding onto a necklace with a tiny anchor, with the caption: "Sailor Gene Gardner @davidgardner76."

    The brunette beauty's spokesperson previously revealed the baby was "happy and healthy" despite being born six weeks ahead of schedule.

    Dave, who is best friends with David Beckham, shared the first picture of Sailor's hand clutching his finger on his Instagram page last weekend, with the caption: "Our little one has arrive... Beautiful baby boy... Happy Valentines Day @misslivialittle (sic)"

    The sports agent also has another son, Grey, seven, with ex-wife Davinia Taylor.

    The former couple split in 2010 and Dave secured custody of Grey after a bitter divorce battle.

    He and Liv started dating last year after being introduced by mutual friend Kate Moss in London.

    The actress' rocker father, Steven Tyler, recently admitted he cried "like a baby" when he learned she had gone into labour.

    He wrote on his Facebook page: "When I got the call that Liv Tyler was going into labor, after crying like a baby myself, I immediately dropped everything and went to to the airport to get on the next available flight...

    "I made it RIGHT in time before my second grandson entered this world. It was another (God wink) moment of a lifetime for me (sic)"
