Anna Kendrick, Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston and Lupita Nyong'o stole the show with their impeccable dress sense at the Oscar Awards.

The actresses looked flawless in their different ensembles as they walked the red carpet at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, even though the makeshift tent collapsed and tiny droplets of rain leaked through, threatening to ruin their gowns.

Anna, 29, was one of the first stars to make her way into the venue wearing a stunning coral floor-length dress with a cleavage peek-a-boo cut-out, which was complete with a stunning crystal-embellished neckline and subtle short train.

Julianne, 54, who is the favourite to win the Best Actress award for her role in 'Still Alice', opted for a simple white strapless Chanel dress, which was embellished completely in sequins and black detailing, while her accessories were kept to minimum.

'Wild' star Reese, 38, wowed fans with her monochrome figure-hugging over-the-shoulder dress, which she teamed with a simple sleeked-back hairstyle and sparkly jewellery.

Jennifer, 45, is no stranger to dazzling on the carpet with her amazing fashion sense and the 'Cake' star did it again last night when she walked into the venue in a nude Versace gown, which was embellished with beading and sequin detailing.

However, it was Lupita, 31, who stunned fans with her pearl figure-hugging halter-neck dress complete with a plunging neckline when she walked into the ceremony.

The brunette beauty teamed her dress with a natural make-up look and minimal accessories.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga, Chloe Grace Moretz and Solange Knowles didn't seem to impress with their choice of attires.

The 'Applause' hitmaker - who is performing at the ceremony - raised eyebrows when she teamed her gorgeous crystal-embellished gown with bizarre bright red gloves.

Chloe, 18, hid her petite frame behind a large quaint floral-print frock, which seemed to blend in with her skin tone, while Solange, 28, opted for red roll-neck jumpsuit, which featured long sleeves, flared trouser legs and a cover-up.
