Melissa Rivers insists it "would have been nice" if her mother was honoured at the Oscars.
The 47-year-old TV producer admitted she would've enjoyed it if 'Fashion Police' star Joan - who died last September aged 81 - was recognised in the Academy Awards' In Memoriam segment at the ceremony on Sunday but insists she has received an "overwhelming" amount of support since her passing.

A statement on her Facebook page read: "It would have been nice, especially considering the impact she had on the awards season, but Cooper and I have been overwhelmed with support and love over my mom's passing and we choose to focus on that."
A number of social networking users reacted in disappointment upon realising Joan had been omitted from the In Memoriam segment, including her 'Fashion Police' co-host Kelly Osbourne.
She wrote on Twitter: "Am I missing something or was @Joan_Rivers really left out of the #Oscars memorials? (sic)"
Following the uproar, the Academy released a statement revealing they have paid tribute to the late comedienne on the Oscars website.
It read: "Joan Rivers is among the many worthy artists and filmmakers we were unfortunately unable to feature in the In Memoriam segment of this year's Oscar show. She is, however, included in our In Memoriam gallery on Oscar.com."
