Kim Kardashian West suffered a selfie fail at the BRIT Awards when she couldn’t get the camera to work while capturing a picture with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star - who is a self-confessed selfie obsessive - was trying to take a picture with the presenting duo during the live ceremony at London's O2 Arena after handing out the Global Success prize to Sam Smith, but she had a few technical difficulties.

Following Kim's presentation to Sam, Dec was quick to ask the 34-year-old stunner - who is to release her own selfie book, 'Kim Kardashian Selfish', in May - whether he and Ant could get a snap with the star before introducing her husband Kanye West's performance.

He said: "Before we do that, and I know this is a little bit unprofessional, but could we get a picture?" Kim - who was wearing a stunning black mesh bodysuit - was quick to accept the offer and Dec thrusted his phone into her hand, but using her expert selfie knowledge she attempted to recommend that the person with the "longest arms" should actually be the one to take the picture.

However, her words of wisdom fell on deaf ears and Dec just said: "There you are, you just take that, that's it."

Ant and Dec then got in position while Kim - who has 20-month-old daughter North with Kanye - started to find her range and they put on huge grins as the reality TV star appeared to be taking a photograph of the trio.

However, much to the mother-of-one's despair, she pulled the phone towards herself after a few awkward seconds of smiling and said: "It's locked. It didn't take."

But the comedy duo didn't look too disheartened and Dec replied: "Oh … don't go through those pictures!" Kim then promised them a picture later on in the evening, adding: "We'll get one."

Several fans praised to pair's selfie attempts with Kim, with one describing it as the "best selfie ever taken".

n0lankiddo tweeted: "that Ant & Dec selfie with Kim, is priceless.... PRICELESS. oh i adore those chaps #britawards (sic)

However, some were not quite as pleased with the pair's efforts.
