Margot Robbie stole toilet paper from a hotel.

The 'Focus' actress admitted to taking rolls of the household good from a hotel in New York where her friend was staying but insisted it was only "one time".

She shared: "It was one time and it was when I was living in New York. I was busy, I was working on 'The Wolf of Wall Street' and I didn't have time. Every time I got home, I thought 'Damn, I forgot to buy toilet paper again.'

"So I was saying goodbye to a friend who was staying at a hotel. And she was like, 'I'm getting on a plane to Australia so take whatever we've got left over.' And I was like, 'Oh, great.' So I packed up a bag and I was like, 'Toilet paper, yes!'

"And then I walked out and got papped outside the hotel and my mum called me and she was like, 'Oh what did you buy from Ralph Lauren? Did you buy something really nice from Ralph Lauren?' And I was like, 'I've never bought anything from Ralph Lauren, what are you talking about?' The bag my friend had given me that I'd put all my stolen goods in was a Ralph Lauren bag."

And the 24-year-old actress, who now rents a place in London with five friends, has blamed her male housemates for always ensuring their home is low on toilet paper.

Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she said: "I live with three boys and I can't tell you how hard it is to get your hands on toilet paper. They steal it.

"We've got a girls' bathroom and a boys' bathroom fortunately but they sneak on up and steal all our toilet paper."
