Sharon Osbourne is "proud" of her daughter for quitting 'Fashion Police'.

The 62-year-old television personality praised Kelly for walking away from the show - which she has co-hosted since 2011 - insisting that the 30-year-old star "can never be bought".

She wrote: "@KellyOsbourne, I am so proud of you. You can never be bought.

"You always wear your heart on your sleeve. #ProudToBeYourMum (sic)"

Kelly's exit from the show comes just days after her co-host Giuliana Rancic was forced to apologise for making "outrageously offensive" comments about Zendaya Coleman's dreadlocks.

E! confirmed the departure in a statement, which read: "Kelly Osbourne is departing E!'s 'Fashion Police' to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers. 'Fashion Police' will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30th at 9:00 p.m. and no decisions have been made on her replacement."

Earlier this week, Kelly threatened to quit the show, following the "racist" comments made by Giuliana.

Taking to the microblogging site, she wrote: "I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT.

"I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW! (sic)"

However, a source previously claimed that Kelly chose to leave the show after admitting it wasn't the same since the former host Joan Rivers passed away.

The insider shared: "Kelly stayed on the show after the beloved Joan Rivers passed away, but nothing has been the same since.

"The chemistry has not been the same between the hosts since the show came back on air and Kelly knows it's time to move on."
