Liam Gallagher has been fined $5,000 for missing another court hearing.

The former Oasis rocker was slammed for his "frivolous" behaviour in skipping yet another court meeting in his child support case with Liza Ghorbani, the mother of his two-year-old daughter Gemma,in Manhattan.

After hearing from Liam's lawyer Raoul Felder there was "no good reason" for his absence, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Laura Drager said: "I am imposing a sanction of $5,000 for what I deem to be his frivolous conduct in not appearing in this court.

"I had him appear by phone and I excused his [non] appearance but as we proceed to trial I cannot excuse his [non] appearance any longer."

Despite Liam's absence, the lawyer reassured the court the 'Wonderwall' singer - who was fined $5,000 in January for missing a hearing because he was "anxious and depressed" - is willing to pay child support and is already paying $5,000 a month without a court order.

The lawyer said: "He's prepared to step up to the plate to pay the maximum amount the court could or would award."

However, Mr. Felder slammed Liza's "greedy" demands, arguing she wanted the settlement for her own lifestyle, not their daughter, who the court heard has "delays" including speech problems and has been seeing specialist doctors.

He said: "It's a desire not to collect child support, it's a desire to get support for herself, to change her lifestyle.

"She wants bodyguards, a doorman, she wants to be treated as maybe a wife is treated if it was a long marriage...

"We are talking about greed here. If this was street talk I'd say the court was scammed."

Meanwhile, Liza's attorney Ira Garr wants to bar Liam's lawyer from cross examining his client, arguing he isn't entitled to since his client "defaulted" on showing up several times, and applied for the journalist to be awarded another $50,000 - on top of the $50,000 she has already received - in attorney's fees because of the expense leading up to trial.

The trial is set for March 26-27.

As well as his dispute with Liza, the 42-year-old rocker - who has another daughter, Molly, 16, and sons Lennon, 15, and Gene, 13, from previous relationships - is currently finalising his divorce from his youngest son's mother Nicole Appleton.
