Joe Manganiello is proud to have been sober for 12 years.
The 'Magic Mike XXL' star - who is engaged to 'Modern Family' actress Sofia Vergara - has experienced problems with alcohol in the past and says staying away from drinking is still "near and dear" to him.

Speaking at a screening of 'The Resurrection of Jake the Snake', a documentary about wrestler Jake 'The Snake' Roberts and his struggles with sobriety, Joe told Us Weekly: "Sobriety is something near and dear to me... [I am] 12-and-a-half years sober. So obviously this is something very close to my heart."
The 38-year-old actor has previously admitted he made the decision to get sober because his alcohol dependency was ruining his life and career.
He said in 2013: "There was a period of about four years where I needed to quit drinking. And the drinking got in the way [of my career]. My life was ruined. I was homeless, careless and broke with no career... it was worth it [to get sober].
"It was one of those obstacles I needed to get over. Once again, I needed to clear the road in order for these things to happen."
