Mark Salling settles sexual battery case

The former 'Glee' actor was the subject of a lawsuit from Roxanne Gorzela, who claims she hooked up with the 32-year-old star in 2011 and agreed to sleep with him, but he refused to wear a condom and forced her to have unprotected sex.

A few days later, the woman claims she confronted Mark at his apartment because she was worried about contracting a sexually-transmitted disease and in the subsequent row, he threw her to the ground and severely injured her knees.

The actor disputed her version of events, claiming she was a woman scorned who broke into his home, attacked him and he defended himself.

The case was settled mid-trial on Monday (23.03.15), TMZ reports, with the sexual battery claim dropped and the actor admitting to negligently causing her to fall and injure herself.

It was agreed Roxanne will receive $666,000 for future medicals, $180,000 for non-economic damages, and $1.8 million for future non-economic damages - payments for pain and suffering - but she agreed to only seek payment from the actor's insurance company, not Mark himself.

And the hunky star will receive a share of what Roxanne gets from insurers State Farm because he believes they owe him something for rejecting an initial claim - made before the trial - in bad faith.
