Whitney Houston's mother will be "alright" if Bobbi Kristina Brown doesn't recover

Cissy Houston is "still praying" for a miracle, but admits she is preparing to cope if the 22-year-old granddaughter loses her battle to live after being found unresponsive in a bathtub at her home in Atlanta on January 31.

Asked how the aspiring actress is doing, she said: "She's the same. We've moved her to a place for rehabilitation. And you know, still not a great deal of hope. [We're] still praying.

"I give it to God one time, because I know he's able. And I cannot change a thing. I'm asking everybody: 'Just pray to the Lord who we know CAN do something about it.' If he works a miracle, thank God. If it happens the other way, I'm alright."

Cissy also thanked her late daughter Whitney's fans for showing their support.

She told New York radio station WBLS FM 107.5: "I feel every bit of it. I truly do."

Doctors attempted to bring Bobbi Kristina out of a medically induced coma last month, but suffered a "setback" when she suffered a number of seizures.

A source said at the time: "This is a horrible setback. Everyone was hopeful that this was the sign that she'd turned the corner. We were so optimistic."
