Billy Ray Cyrus says Patrick Schwarzenegger is a "good boy"

The 'Achy Breaky Heart' hitmaker - whose daughter Miley Cyrus is reportedly going through a rocky patch in her relationship with the 21-year-old actor - has sided with Patrick after he was seen getting close to his ex-girlfriend Taylor Burns during a Spring Break trip in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

When asked about the photographs, he told gossip website TMZ: "He had fun. He's a good boy."

Meanwhile, Miley, 22, is said to be "embarrassed" about the pictures.

A source close to the singer said previously: "Miley is embarrassed about the photos and Patrick is devastated about that because he really cares about her.

"They've been talking and are going through a tough time."

And Patrick has been assuring the 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker that nothing happened with his ex.

The insider told PEOPLE magazine: "He didn't cheat or kiss anyone but she's still not happy about the photos. It's just embarrassing for her, and him. They're trying to work this through."

The couple have been dating in November and were recently seen dining together at Kiwami in Studio City, California earlier this week.

An eyewitness said the pair were holding hands, kissing and laughing throughout their meal.
