Jeremy Renner claims fatherhood has "screwed" his career

The 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' actor has found his priorities have changed since he and estranged wife Sonni Pacheco welcomed daughter Ava into the world two years ago, and his work is no longer as important to him.

He said: "[Fatherhood] really kind of changed my perspective on a lot of things.

"It's kind of screwed my career in a lot of ways. Because I don't really care about [my career] so much because I care about her so much. She's like number one in my life. And now I get to do movies on the side.

"Daddy's my best role to date, I think."

The 44-year-old actor admitted it has been tough juggling working on a big-budget movie shoot with finding the time to see his daughter.

Speaking on the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show', he admitted: "Yeah, I do a lot of flights back. I did like 40 flights back. From London to here pretty much every other week.

"[I] see her sometimes for eight hours and then fly back."

Earlier this month, Jeremy and Sonni reached a custody and child support agreement following a bitter battle over their daughter.

The 'Hurt Locker' star will continue to share 50/50 custody with the Canadian model, who will receive $13,000 a month to care for the toddler.

The 23-year-old beauty, who accused the actor of stealing her passport, birth certificate and social security card after their split late last year, will not receive any spousal support as per the former couple's prenuptial agreement.
