Kylie Jenner bought her new house so she could have more space for her shoes

The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star is currently living with her mother Kris Jenner in the family home but has splashed out $2.7 million in a gated community in The Oaks, Calabasas, Los Angeles and is planning on having a special space just for her footwear.

She told Teen Vogue magazine: "I'm moving out when I turn 18. I'm ready to live on my own. It's a really big step, but I'm ready.

"I wanted a house near my family in a quiet neighbourhood with a front yard and a backyard that my dog will like. Also, I have so many shoes, and none of them fit in my old closet."

And whilst the 17-year-old television personality - who reaches the milestone birthday in August - has been receiving help from the 59-year-old matriarch with decorating, it is believed she has put up all the money for the house herself.

The home features its own pool, a home theatre and a stunning kitchen and is said to be just one block away from her half-sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian.

Meanwhile, Kylie recently admitted she wants to move out "as soon" as she can because she was fed up of Kris being on her "case".

She said: "My mom is always on my case about this or that ... If we're gonna take a trip together, I just want to talk about things other than work."
