A cancer survivor has started a Twitter campaign to get Jessie J to perform at his wedding

Sean McCabe, from Tonyrefail, Wales, was diagnosed with cancer in June 2013 and despite receiving intense chemotherapy treatment he was given just two months to live in September of the same year.

However, after a miracle bone marrow transplant the father-of-three beat the disease and has now been in remission for over a year.

Sean got inspiration to fight the disease from Jessie's music and he has started the social media campaign to try and get the 'Do It Like A Dude' singer to appear at his wedding - which has been booked for the same church his funeral was going to take place in.

He told website Wales Online: "I listened to her songs while I was in hospital and they touched my heart. I went to see her in concert not long before I was first diagnosed with cancer and while I was watching I thought something wasn't right. It was then that I went to the doctors and found out what was wrong with me."

Sean's dream is for Jessie to sing 'Who You Are' - the title track from her debut album - for his first dance with his bride Lisa Williams.

Speaking about why he has chose that track, Sean said: "That song means a lot to me. My youngest daughter Asia would sing it to me in hospital to cheer me up so it means a lot to her as well. I would love Jessie J to sing that at my wedding - it would mean the absolute world to me."

So far, 'Coronation Street' actress Kym Marsh has got behind his campaign retweeting Sean's Twitter post "please share thanks kym - Cancer patient who cancelled his own funeral and booked his wedding wants Jessie J to perform on the big day (sic)".

Although Sean's tweets have attracted a huge amount of attention online, Jessie herself is yet to respond to him.
