Ashlee Simpson Ross's son is "so excited" she is expecting a baby girl

The 30-year-old star is set to welcome her first child with husband Evan Ross in the near future and says six year old Bronx, with ex-husband Pete Wentz, can't wait to have "tea parties" with his half-sibling.

She said: "He's excited. He's so excited. He's excited that it's a girl, he thinks it's cute--the tea parties, she'll be adorable."

'Just Before I Go' star Evan, 27, also has no doubt Bronx is going to enjoy being a big brother.

He said: "He can't wait. He's going to be the big brother, be the boss. He's excited."

Ashlee is enjoying her second pregnancy, but admits it feels different this time.

She told E! News: "I feel good! Definitely I feel it's a girl."

Evan previously revealed they have selected a "different" name for their unborn baby.

The 'Hunger Games' star said: "We've got a few ideas [on baby names], but we're keeping that for us. No, it's not going to be apple, orange, anything like that ... it's going to be different though."

The couple tied the knot in August last year at the actor's mother Diana Ross' home in Connecticut.
