Aaron Taylor-Johnson found it "surreal" watching Marvel superheroes on set

Aaron Taylor-Johnson found it "surreal" watching Marvel superheroes casually "looking at emails on an iPhone" on the set of 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'

The 24-year-old actor - who stars as Marvel Comic book character Quicksilver in the much-anticipated new movie - admitted he couldn't get his head around the sight of Chris Hemsworth, who plays hammer-wielding god Thor, and Chris Evans, who stars as Captain America, relaxing on set while dressed in their costumes.

Speaking at the European premiere of the new movie at the Vue Cinemas in Westfield, London last night (21.04.15), Aaron told BANG Showbiz: "It's kind of fun when we break and we all get shoved in a big room, like a green room. And then you're looking around the room and there's Thor and Captain America in costume, but looking at emails on an iPhone or having a sip of coffee.

"The scenario is just so surreal. Sometimes you just step back and laugh and be like, 'We're all pretty ridiculous right now. This is so funny.'"

The new movie features a star-studded cast - which also includes Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner - but Aaron insisted everyone gelled very well and found the whole experience to be "really fun".

The actor - who attended the premiere with his wife, director Sam Taylor-Johnson - shared: "Everyone is very lovely, man. It's a real sort of family environment.

"Some of these characters have played this for four or five movies now, so they're very comfortable. So it was really fun, really great. There was a lot of fun, a lot of laughs."
