Melissa Rivers has "no interest in quitting" 'Fashion Police'

The show's producer, who recently claimed former host Kathy Griffin "s** all over" her late mother Joan Rivers' "legacy" when the actress left the E! series after seven episodes earlier this year, has plans to make the show bigger and better then ever when it returns from an extended hiatus in September.

A source said: "She hasn't dealt with replacement co-hosts yet but is excited to continue producing. She has no interest in quitting."

Melissa, 47, was furious when Kathy and Kelly Osbourne both quit the show after their co-host Giuliana Rancic's controversial comments about Disney star Zendaya Coleman, who she said looked like she smelled of "pachouli oil, or maybe weed" at the Oscars.

But a source close to Kathy, 54, insists she didn't mean to tarnish Joan's reputation after replacing her on the series.

The insider told US Weekly: "Kathy considered Joan a mentor. The truth is, the show was never going to be the same without Joan."

Another source told America's Ok! magazine: "Kathy thought she'd put 'Fashion Police' behind her. She's frustrated that Melissa is pulling her back into the fray."

Melissa recently revealed she and the show's other producers still haven't finalised replacements for Kelly and Kathy on the panel.

Asked if Khloé Kardashian or Kimora Lee Simmons could be joining the show, she added: "All of your suggestions are on all of our lists, you're dead on. I don't know who it's going to be, but right now...we're slowly starting to figure out what would work."
