Perrie Edwards believes that love is the secret to happiness

The pop babe - who is engaged to former One Direction singer Zayn Malik - has confessed that whilst buying a handbag or a pair of shoes feels great, it's not quite the same as the fuzzy feeling you get when you have a special person in your life.

In an interview with the Kiss Breakfast show on the UK radio station today (26.05.15) the 20-year-old star shared her conviction that all you need is love. She said: "If you could still see yourself living in a cardboard box with somebody with no money then that is love you know, it's what's important."

However, Perrie's bandmate Jesy Nelson - who is dating Rixton singer Jake Roche - thinks money can "kind of" buy you happiness, especially when the one you love lets you down.

She said: "Do you know what? When people go, 'Money can't buy happiness, it can kind of.'

Although Perrie is blissfully in love with Zayn, she doesn't have plans in the immediate future to tie the knot with her Zayn because she is busy with the release of Little Mix's long awaited single 'Black Magic' and forthcoming album.

Perrie - who got engaged to Zayn in 2013 - revealed: "I don't know when the wedding will be. We're still planning it but I'm so busy with Little Mix now 'Black Magic' is coming out. Me and Zayn want it to be perfect, so as soon as I have a bit of time we'll plan it. I doubt it will be this summer."
