Bruce Jenner wants the wrongful death lawsuit against him be dismissed

The 65-year-old reality TV star is being sued by the stepchildren of Kim Howe, who was killed when the Olympian allegedly smashed into her Lexus and caused it to collide head on with a Hummer on the Pacific Coast Highway in California in February, but he claims they don't deserve compensation because they didn't lose anything when she died.

In new court documents, obtained by gossip website TMZ.com, the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star argues the victim's stepchildren, William, 57, and Dana, 60, do not have the right to sue for wrongful death because they never depended on their stepmother to pay for essentials such as food, shelter, medical treatment or clothing.

He acknowledges the accident was a "terrible tragedy" but says it should not be an opportunity for William and Dana to make money.

Bruce has asked the judge to throw out the case.

The duo, who allegedly "had virtually no relationship" with their stepmother, have accused Bruce of being "careless and negligent" and of speeding when the accident happened. They are seeking damages for loss of affection.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the crash, but law enforcement sources previously claimed Bruce was driving below the speed limit.

Police officers, who obtained video footage of the collision, believe the star simply wasn't looking when he hit the Lexus and it is unlikely he will be prosecuted.
