Cara Delevingne has compared herself to Charlize Theron

The 22-year-old Supermodel-turned-actress defended her acting abilities and compared herself to Charlize Theron, who also began life as a model before launching a screen career.

'Paper Towns' actress Cara told Channel Ten's 'The Project': "You know Charlize Theron, there are so many amazing actresses who have been models. And like her in that movie 'Monster', those are the kind of roles I want to play."

She added on the Australian TV show: "There's always going to be people who don't want you to succeed or doubt you, but again, I didn't really care, because I know how hard I can work and I knew I'd give it my all. So as long as I do good work, I know that's all that matters."

Cara also revealed that swapping the catwalk for the big screen made her feel like she had been "born again".

"It's just a whole different thing. I literally feel like it's a different part of my life now. I feel like I've kind of been born again," she said. "I know that sounds really weird but honestly, acting, I've wanted to do it so badly.

"As soon as I got the opportunity I was like, I'm here, take me, I'll do anything."

George Clooney has paid tribute to his friend Jerry Weintraub, who died on Monday (06.07.15).

The 77-year-old Hollywood producer died at his home in Palm Springs and George - who worked on 'Ocean's 11' with Jerry - reached out to his family and friends in a touching statement.

He told The Hollywood Reporter: "In the coming days there will be tributes, about our friend Jerry Weintraub. We'll laugh at his great stories, and applaud his accomplishments. And in the years to come the stories and accomplishments will get better with age, just as Jerry would have wanted it.

"But not today. Today our friend died. To his family and friends, Amal [Clooney's wife] and I send our love. And to those who didn’t know him we send our deepest sympathy. You would have loved him."

TMZ reported that the Tinseltown legend - who produced movies such as the 'Ocean's 11' remake and the 'Karate Kid' franchise - passed away at his home.

He is believed to have been suffering ill health recently and was surrounded by family members when he passed away.

Jerry split from his wife Jane Morgan in the 1980s after approximately 20 years of marriage, although they never divorced.

He has been living with girlfriend Susie Ekins for almost 20 years and earlier this year spoke about his amicable relationship with Jane, revealing that she calls him daily.

He explained to Vanity Fair that every day: "Each of my four children and Jane, my wife, will call to check in."

The couple have three adopted daughters, while Jerry also has a son from a previous marriage.
