Jason Derulo says Jordin Sparks wasn't his "true love"

The 'Talk Dirty' hitmaker, who split from the 25-year-old singer last September after three years together, insists he doesn't regret dating her, but thinks they weren't meant to be together.

The 25-year-old star said: "I think true love can never be broken. So, I don't think that I have found true love.

"I think everything happens for a reason. I think I was in that relationship for a reason, and I don't regret anything, but at the same time I know how good it feels to be on my own right now."

Jason is enjoying his single status and admits he isn't in "the right space" to find a serious girlfriend at the moment.

He told the July issue of DuJour magazine: "It's pretty clear that I'm not ready for that. I'm just not in the right space."

Jason previously admitted he felt "lot of pressure" to marry Jordin when they were together.

Shortly after their split, he said: "There was a lot of pressures of marriage. There was a lot of arguing and stuff like that just weighed on our relationship over time. When you stop having more good times than bad times, it's time to call it quits. It becomes something that is unhealthy."

'No Air' hitmaker Jordin is now dating rapper Sage the Gemini.
