Brody Jenner admits Caitlyn Jenner's transition has been "difficult" for their family

The 'Sex with Brody' star has a closer relationship with his father - who was previously known as Bruce - since her gender transition and is pleased to see his parent "much happier" but admits the changes haven't been easy.

He said: "Growing up, there were times when Bruce wasn't there.

"I finally feel like I'm getting to know the person that had me - that's my dad. It's been a journey, I will say that for all of us.

"I am not going to say it's been the easiest thing in the world - it hasn't. There have been a lot of things that have been difficult to deal with, but ultimately, it's not about me, it's Caitlyn.

"And now Caitlyn is in a much happier place. You only have one life and it's very short. I think you should be who you are."

Brody has no relationship with former stepmother Kris Jenner and thinks stories she is upset at being "upstaged" by Caitlyn are very funny.

He told Closer magazine: "I no longer speak to Kris Jenner. We're no longer officially family.

"The stories about Kris feeling upstaged by Caitlyn make me laugh - it's so funny.

"We're proud of Caitlyn and support her. We're just getting to know her."
