Chris Brown has "nothing but love" for Rihanna

The 'Loyal' hitmaker - who previously dated the 27-year-old beauty - has admitted he still loves and cares for her.

When asked why he covered her track 'Bitch Better Have My Money', he told Tim Westwood: "She's my homie though. We knew each other since we were 14, 15 so with that kind of history, we are always going to be cool. I don't get jealous. I don't get mad. I got nothing but love and respect for her.

"I respect her as an artist. Obviously people are going to make a spectacle, like 'Oh, he's playing her music!' But who doesn't? I'm pretty sure she plays my music."

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Chris admitted he found it "difficult to love".

He uploaded an image, which read: "It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love. This is how the whole scheme of things works. All good things are difficult to achieve, and bad things are very easy to get."

But since his split from ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, Chris has been focusing all his efforts on fatherhood.

When asked if he still loves the model, he said: "Yeah, of course. I'm not a hateful person, you know. Of course I still love [her].

"But I'm just, mentally right now, I'm just, I think everything takes time, you know. I think I just need to focus on being the best father I can be."
