Elizabeth Hurley has sold her farm for £9 million

'The Royals' actress bought the farm in the Cotswolds in central England for £3.3 million in 2002 while she was dating her future husband, Indian businessman Arun Nayar, and threw herself into country life at the property by producing organic meat which was sold at upmarket department store, Harrods.

As well as the main house - which is a Grade II listed building, and boasts nine bedrooms and six bathrooms - the farm includes a guest cottage, a first floor flat and several outbuildings including a barn.

The property was originally put on the market last year for £6 million, although when the 50-year-old star failed to secure a buyer she threw in 300 extra acres, meaning the estate in Ampney Knowle now boasts 410 acres of land.

Property analyst Henry Pryor said: "Ms Hurley has clearly been well advised.

"Farmland has outperformed even Mayfair house prices in the past decade."

However, Liz - who has 13-year-old son Damian - still owns another country home, Doddington Hall, near Ledbury in Herefordshire.

Having bought the property for £6 million in 2012 with her then fiance, Australia cricket icon Shane Warne, she bought out his share a year later when they split up.
