Gary Barlow surprised a fan by performing on her wedding day

The Take That singer arrived to a pub in Loughborough on Saturday (29.08.15) to perform to newlyweds Stephen and Katie Hardy, who had no idea he was to make an appearance and were left "speechless" when he grabbed the microphone and sung 2006 hit 'Rule The World'.

Katie - who has been a fan of the 'Back For Good' hitmakers since she was eight - said she "couldn't believe it" when Gary came into the room full of guests and it was the "icing on the cake" on their special day.

She said: "The real Gary Barlow walked in, and I just couldn't believe it. It was just the icing on the cake - I was speechless."

Her husband Stephen had booked a Robbie Williams tribute band, but said it made their day "even more perfect".

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I had no idea. That's why I arranged for Tony Lewis, the Robbie tribute, to make a surprise appearance - and then made a fool of myself by singing a bit of Robbie myself before Tony took over.

"It was amazing. It made the day even more perfect than it had already been."

After the 44-year-old heartthrob performed, he stayed for their wedding photos.

Katie said: "Afterwards, he stayed on for the wedding photos. I can't believe it's me in them."
