Evan Peters "just loves" Emma Roberts

The on/off couple sparked rumours they are back together in August and the 'American Horror Story' star has now appeared to confirm the reunion - just months after they called off their engagement - while gushing about Emma.

Speaking at the premiere of the new season 'American Horror Story: Hotel', he told PEOPLE.com: "She is really great."

Quizzed about their relationship, Evan, 28, then coyly gave a thumbs up.

He added: "I just love her."

The actor began dating Emma, 24, in 2012 and proposed to her in December 2013. However, the couple ended their engagement in June.

The co-stars were spotted enjoying an intimate dinner in Los Angeles in August and just last month Evan attended the premiere of Emma's new show 'Scream Queens'.

Emma and Evan's engagement came to a crashing halt over the summer and it was claimed the split was "amicable".

A source previously said: "They have so many great memories together but couldn't make it work in the end.

"The break-up was amicable - there was no drama whatsoever. Emma and Evan are even still friends!"

Emma recently claimed she had cleared the "toxic" people from her life.

She said: "Since I've turned 24, I really like cleared out toxic people in my life.

"I only surround myself with people - with work and with friends.

People that are going to make me feel confident and make me happy and make me laugh. And so that way, the mean things don't get to me as much."
