Rita Ora wanted to "crawl in bed and die" after splitting from Calvin Harris.

The 25-year-old singer had to scrap some of the tracks for her second album because the DJ had worked with her on them, but the blonde beauty is pleased she managed to "survive" the devastation that came with their separation.

She told Wonderland magazine: "At the time ... I just wanted to crawl in my bed and die. But I got out of it the other side, I'm surviving."

As a result of scrapping some of the tracks she worked on with the 31-year-old hunk - who is now dating Taylor Swift - Rita completely changed the record's theme from "lovey-dovey" to one about her friends.

She added: "I kind of saw the light at the end of the tunnel and I just wanted to change the vibe of the whole album.

"It was initially a really lovey-dovey album because that's where I was, but then I obviously didn't feel like that."

Following the couple's split in June 2014, Calvin prevented Rita from performing her track 'I Will Never Let You Down' - which he wrote and produced - at the Teen Choice Awards.

The stunner recently admitted their relationship started to go wrong after that song was released in March 2014.

She said: "There was a reason why I split up with him ... It was more of a thing where I was in awe. I was at that point in my relationship where I felt he could do no wrong.

"I thought he had my back and that he'd never steer me wrong. But then 'I Will Never Let You Down' came out, and everything started to go a bit weird.

"I don't know if it was because business was mixed with personal or what."
