Denise Van Outen doesn't regret marrying Lee Mead.

The 41-year-old presenter is happily loved up with her new city broker boyfriend Eddie Boxshall but she has admitted her relationship with her ex-husband, with whom she has five-year-old daughter Betsy, is just as important to her.

She explained: "I've no regrets about getting married to Lee at all.

He's such a lovely person. There was no big fall-out and we got each other through [the divorce], really. We're friends, so we supported each other."

And, although she has a beautiful daughter and a successful career under her belt, Denise believes her life didn't really start until she hit her 40s.

She said: "When you're at this age, there's no real pressure. I've got friends in their 30s who really want to meet someone and get married and have kids.

"Well, we've kind of done all that, and we're at a stage in our lives where we just want to enjoy each other's company and travel and go away for nice weekends."

But that doesn't mean the blonde beauty and her beau, who already has two children from a previous relationship, won't start a family of their own one day.

She told The Sun newspaper's Fabulous: "When you're in a new relationship, things are different, and it genuinely hasn't entered my head. Eddie doesn't live with me, so our relationship is still very much about dating and going out.

"It's not at that stage yet and at the moment we've got no plans to move in. And I'm 41! So I dunno. I think we're both quite happy with how it is at the moment."
