'Mad Max: Fury Road' and '45 Years' were the big winners at the London Critics' Circle (LCC) Film Awards on Sunday 17.01.16.

The action extravaganza picked up the coveted Film of the Year prize, as well as Director of the Year for George Miller and British/Irish Actor of the Year for Tom Hardy, whose body of work in 2015 - which also included performances in 'Legend', 'The Revenant' and 'London Road' - saw him scoop the trophy.

Meanwhile, marital drama '45 Years' saw its stars Tom Courtenay and Charlotte Rampling named Actor and Actress of the Year, while the movie itself was named British/Irish Film of the Year.

Elsewhere, 'Steve Jobs' actress Kate Winslet was named Supporting Actress of the Year, with the Supporting Actor prize going to 'Bridge of Spies' star Mark Rylance.

Asif Kapadia's Amy Winehouse film 'Amy' took the award for Documentary of the Year, while Saoirse Ronan was named British/Irish Actress of the Year and Maisie Williams, 18, accepted the Young British/Irish Performer of the Year prize thanks to her part in 'The Falling.

Dame Judi Dench took to the stage at London's May Fair Hotel to present the final honour of the night, the Dilys Powell Award for Excellence in Film, which she handed over to her 'A Winter's Tale' co-star Sir Kenneth Branagh.
