Patrick Dempsey and his wife Jillian have reportedly called off their divorce.

The former 'Grey's Anatomy' star and his make-up artist spouse split last January, with Jillian filing for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

Legal papers at the time stated that Jillian, who married Patrick in July 1999, was seeking joint custody of their 12-year-old daughter, Tallulah Fyfe, and seven-year-old twin sons, Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen.

But now it has been claimed that the estranged couple have decided to give their relationship another go.

A source said: “"For the past year, Patrick and Jillian have been working on getting to where they are right now. They are not dating anyone else, and only each other.”

The reunion news comes after Patrick and Jillian were seen looking very cosy while walking along hand-in-hand in Paris, France, in November.

The source added to People magazine: “They seem very happy and are spending a lot of time together. They go on dates and are also involved with the kids together.

“The divorce made Patrick miserable. It was definitely a wakeup call."

Patrick, who was married to Rocky Parker from 1987 to 1994, previously credited Jillian for helping him to stay grounded.

He said: "The best part about being married is feeling centered.

Nothing else matters so much as long as you can come home and be with your family."

But he also admitted they were both very independent people.

He said: "She'll do things on her own so she can come back and be much more patient with the kids. I go car racing."
