Chris Brown has accused Nia Guzman of making a "play to get increased income" by alleging he caused he daugher to suffer asthma.

The 'Fine China' singer has slammed his former lover - who is seeking to have her child support payments increased from $2,500 a month to almost $16,000 - over her claims 19-month-old Royalty developed the breathing condition because he smoked excessively around her, insisting he quit the habit a few weeks ago and won't let anyone else light up near her either.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, he wrote: "Absolutely untrue. I quit cigarettes on New Years. NO ONE smokes around my daughter.

"This is obviously a play to get some sort of increased income.

"I take care of my daughter and I would never ever put her in a position that will harm her."

Chris went on to slam the "slander" which surrounds him and the people who "use" him, insisting he is just trying to do his best for his little girl.

He continued: "I'm so sick and tired of negative people trying to use me and slander me.

"All this annoying bs, everybody knows what they do in this street.

"My daughter is my pride and joy and I will not be played because my lifestyle is different from other parties involved. This really has to stop.(sic)"

In her legal documents, Nia demanded the 26-year-old star hire a nanny or have his access restricted, but Chris doesn't seem to feel he needs extra help.

He wrote: "My daughter is the youngest in her class and the most advanced.

"My mother and I have made sure my daughter is constantly learning and being creative as well as her safety.(sic)"

And the 'Yeah 3x' hitmaker concluded by insisting he has no plans to start a "back and forth" feud.

He added: "I won't do the back and forth negative things so I'll just say god bless whoever is struggling and need to use me to better their life even though I fulfill my duties as a father."
