Dakota Johnson likes the idea of being a stay-at-home mother.

The 'Fifty Shades of Grey' star admits she'd like to settle down and have a family one day but uses her movie roles to fulfil her desires in the meantime.

She said: "The idea of being at home and picking up kids from school and cooking dinner and then the husband comes home - there's something that seems really nice to me 'cause I never had that growing up. [It] seems so enticing.

"In my mind, I'm like, 'Well, I'll just play that in a movie and go about my own life,' bizarre as it is."

The 26-year-old actress admits she is a little way off her ideal home situation as she doesn't have a boyfriend at the moment.

She added to Marie Claire magazine: "I don't have a boyfriend - why? You got one for me? Right now I find myself having the capacity to love my family and friends, and that's it."

Meanwhile, Dakota previously insisted being in '50 Shades' has affected her love life as men are scared to ask her out.

Referring to the racy scenes in the hit movie, she said: "Some people think [S&M] is something I’m interested in, in my private life, which is not the case.

“I’m an actor, I pretend. But I guess it’s something that happens with a lot of actors; people think that, in real life, they are like the characters they play."
