Britney Spears is reportedly considering adopting a child from Malawi.

The 34-year-old pop superstar already has two sons, Sean, 10, and Jayden, nine, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline but she has been thinking about expanding her brood.

And Britney - who is currently single - thinks it would be wonderful to give a disadvantaged youngster from the African nation a new start in America just like her idol Madonna did when she adopted David and Mercy.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: "She's considering adopting a little girl from Malawi. They've discussed the process on several occasions, and she's always wanted a daughter."

Although she is busy with her Las Vegas 'Piece of Me' residency at the Planet Hollywood resort and Casino, Britney always puts her children first and is a doting mother.

The 'Stronger' hitmaker feels as though she has more love to give and would love to have another child in her home.

Away from her family plans, Britney has been busy recording her new album and has boasted it is the "best thing" she has done in a "long time".

She said: "I'm proud of the work, and it's very different; it's not what you would think at all. But I'm not rushing anything. I just want it to be done right, so that my fans will truly appreciate it. I would much rather have it be completely how I want it to be, whether that takes another year for me to do, or two months. I have no idea at this point.

"Honestly, I'm just particular with this record. It's my baby, and so I really want it done right.

"I just know that the direction I'm going in is so good. It's the best thing I've done in a long time."
