Doting Dad Nick Carter has shared a picture of his son Odin Reign.

Eleven days after The Backstreet Boys singer's wife Lauren Kitt gave birth at their home, the new father posted a sweet photograph of his little bundle of joy on Instagram.

Alongside the image of Odin – who was born via a water birth – asleep and wrapped in a fluffy blanket, he penned: “I just love how peaceful he is. Daddy will be home soon Odin. #babies #love #family (sic)”

The delighted couple welcomed their son on April 19 and on Thursday (28.04.16) Nick revealed the pair were just getting used to the sleepless nights.

He captioned a spoof picture of a baby twiddling its thumbs with the words “HOW DO I PUT THIS? YOU WILL NEVER SLEEP IN AGAIN” plastered across it: “God are you right.”

Meanwhile, his spouse – who he wed in 2014 – endured 30 hours of labor during the “difficult” home birth.

A source close to the fitness expert and actress, 32, shared: “She had a very difficult labor. It was hard on her. Of course, there was a happy ending!"

But Nick praised Lauren for being "super cool" during the pregnancy and admitted he was cherishing their time together before she gave birth.

He previously said: "You know the thing with my wife is that she is super cool... When it comes to the life I have [Lauren] is making the process really amazing and comfortable.

"It's cool to have some time to prepare. I've really been thinking about living in the moment and enjoying every day that I have with my wife. I'm enjoying the process, because I've heard that your life will change and your priorities will change and that's great. So we are enjoying the time we have right now."
