Nick Jonas finds it "strange" that people are interested in his love life.

The 'Jealous' hitmaker - who has been romantically linked to Kate Hudson following his split from Olivia Culpo - says it "definitely sucks" that there is such an interest in the people he dates.

He said: "It definitely sucks. It sort of feels like, on top of dealing with the situation with the person, you have to be thinking about other people's opinion about it, and without all the information.

"The fact that people were intrigued by a 14 or 15-year-old's relationships was strange to me. Now I think it makes a bit more sense. I think it's kind of amusing, people's interests. But it's funny, because I think I live a pretty low-key life."

However, the 23-year-old singer has had no problems opening up about his heartbreak on his upcoming album, 'Last Year Was Complicated'.

He added to OUT magazine: "With this one I made a real point to tell stories as honestly as I could.

"It became very clear what it was going to be about, after the breakup. I just dove in headfirst and wrote about all of it. I think it was the most meaningful relationship I've ever been in, and it was the longest."

Meanwhile, Nick - who found fame as part of the Jonas Brothers with his older siblings, Joe, 26 and Kevin, 28 - previously revealed he felt it was "important to get vulnerable" on his new album.

He shared: "I mean, it's always difficult to open yourself up that way, but it's important to get vulnerable. Right now, at this moment, Beyoncé and Drake and all these artists are really embracing vulnerability; it makes a huge difference.

"I'm working my hardest to lay out my stories and my music and connect with my fans - and my own self - in that way."
