Daisy Lowe and Thomas Cohen have split up.

The 27-year-old model and the 26-year-old musician have called time on their romance after five months of dating, with insiders revealing things just "fizzled out".

A source told MailOnline: "Daisy and Thomas split about a month ago. It’s all very amicable, they had lots of fun and a great time together.

"It just sort of fizzled out and had run its course."

Daisy and Thomas - the widower of her best friend Peaches Geldof - started dating earlier this year but she has previously admitted she wasn't quite ready to settle down.

She explained: "I'm a traditional girl. One day. I'm not ready for it any time soon, but yeah, course. My whole family would only want that. They want to see me get married and they want to have grandchildren.

"Make sure we get the 'one day' in because I am having visions of people thinking I've decided I want children now. I'm not ready for that, I want to have lots of fun first."

Thomas - who has sons Astala, three, and Phaedra, two with Peaches - recently opened up about his devastation at losing his wife to an accidental heroin overdose in 2014 and his determination to move on for the sake of the boys.

He said: "Firstly, at the time, I was 23. I had two children who needed to be taken care of and, in maybe early June 2014, I started to do that, and we're now here in 2016. I just made the decision to start looking after myself and I refused to lose myself and become a traumatised, grief-stricken single father who everyone's going to look at and think and feel all of these things about. And that's absolutely fine. However, by this stage, if somebody looks at me like that, then it's just a projection.

"I got to a stage where I thought, 'I don't want to stay in this place any more.' I'm not dissociating, hiding myself or escaping the reality of the situation. However, I'm not staying based in that trauma.

"It's a lot to do with nourishing yourself with the care and love of other people - and seeing that that light was never not there."
