Niall Horan thinks Harry Styles "looks good" now he's had his hair cut.

The 22-year-old singer has revealed he only found out about Harry's newly-cut locks from seeing pictures of him on the internet, but admits he's a fan of his One Direction bandmate's latest look.

Niall said: "He just posted a picture of it, of his hair, and it was gone. So that's the first I saw of it. It looks good, it looks good now."

Meanwhile, Niall also revealed he is looking forward to facing fellow One Direction star Louis Tomlinson during an upcoming charity soccer match.

The duo are on opposing teams for the annual Soccer Aid match at Old Trafford in Manchester, England, and Niall is relishing the prospect of going head-to-head with his good pal.

He told Digital Spy: "I'm definitely confident about Soccer Aid yeah, usually this banter happens on Twitter and stuff like that but I think the English boys have been a little bit quieter than they usually are.

"I think they know what's coming, we've got a very, very strong team. We've got [Brazilian star] Ronaldinho, I think that pretty much says enough. Just in general it's gonna be an unbelievable experience.

"It really feels like we're in a professional football team, it's something we've all dreamt of as kids so I think it's genuinely gonna be an unbelievable week."

Louis' side for the charity match will feature popstar Olly Murs and actor Damian Lewis, while Niall will line up alongside the likes of Michael Sheen and Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay.

The overarching ambition of the game is to raise money and support for Unicef's work for children in danger.
