Kylie Minogue has recorded the theme song for 'Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie'.

The 'Spinning Around' hitmaker hit the studio to record her version of 'This Wheel's On Fire', which appeared in every single episode of the original BBC series.

Of her involvement, she told The Sun newspaper: "As a huge fan of the Ab Fab series and both Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, I'm over the moon to be singing the theme song."

The hotly-anticipated film sees Edina Monsoon (Jennifer Saunders) and Patsy Stone (Joanna Lumley) run away to the French Riviera after pushing Kate Moss into the River Thames.

The film is set to be littered with cameos from celebrities with Rebel Wilson previously expressing her excitement about making an appearance.

She said: "I'm a huge 'Absolutely Fabulous' fan. Jennifer Saunders was one of the first women I saw on screen writing and performing her own material and I got to meet her last year in London and I cried when I met her! She's every bit as amazing as I thought.

"I emailed her and said, 'If you need me for anything I'll be there.' I full out got down on my knees and begged. There's no level to which I wouldn't have gone to!"

Meanwhile, Joanna previously teased fans about what they could expect in the upcoming movie.

Asked what she enjoyed most about playing Patsy again, she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Just the bad behaviour. Just that extraordinary anarchic character who doesn't really belong to anybody, who is sort of an alley cat and closest friends with Edina. It was just fun to be them again. It's great, I think you're going to love it.

"I can't tell you very much about it except that we've got

all of the original cast, which is June Whitfield, Julia Sawalha, Jane Horrocks, the great Jennifer Saunders and yours truly. And we've got some beautiful new stars."
