The home where Brittany Murphy and her husband died has been re-listed for a reduced fee.

The renovated Hollywood house is back on the market for $18.4 million, $1 million less than it was previously up for sale, after both the '8 Mile' actress and her widower Simon Monjack tragically passed away in the property.

According to TMZ, the five-bedroom abode has undergone extensive refurbishment since the couple lived there.

Brittany died of pneumonia and anaemia aged 32 in December 2009, and Simon passed away aged 40 from the same causes just five months later.

At one time the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services thought the possibility of toxic mould in their house could have been a cause of death for the couple, but that was later ruled out by the Coroner's Office.

The house - which is being sold by real estate agents Ben Bacal and Ness Krief - features six bathrooms and a wine cellar.

Potential buyers who are keen to have plenty of downtime in the abode might be pleased to note there is a massage room, as well as an infinity pool and home cinema.

The three-storey home also comes with an elevator for those tired legs after a long day at work.

Brittany - who once dated Ashton Kutcher - previously purchased the property from Britney Spears.

Pathologist Dr Richard Shepherd later claimed Brittany's life may have been saved if she had received medical attention 24 hours before she died in the house.

He said: "By the time Brittany collapsed in her bathroom there was probably nothing the paramedics or hospital staff could have done to save her. But had she been taken to hospital 24 hours earlier and given intravenous drugs, there is a very good chance she would have survived and would still be here today."

But he didn't blame Simon or her mother Sharon for the 'Clueless' actress' death, saying they may have not realised how ill the star was.
