Jennifer Saunders will "never" bring back 'Absolutely Fabulous' television series.

The 57-year-old writer and creator of the comedy film, who plays Edina 'Eddie' Monsoon alongside Joanna Lumley's Patsy Stone, has admitted she has no plans to return to the "small screen", which ran on and off from 1992 to the anniversary special in 2012.

When asked at the 'Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie' premier at London's Leicester Square on Wednesday whether the comedy duo will return to helm their longstanding BBC television show once again, the actress said: "No, we'd never darling! How could we possibly go back to the small screen?"

And the television star has revealed she has no plans to make a sequel to their forthcoming movie, which features cameos from 'Mad Men' actor Jon Hamm, Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Stella McCartney, Lulu and Graham Norton.

Speaking previously about plans to write another star-studded title about the champagne swigging fashionistas, she said: "I'm not planning a sequel at all, no. This is it!"

However, in conversation with her co-star Rylan Clark-Neal Joanna has teased if 'Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie' is a success she will pen another.

She said: "If people go and watch it we'll be making another one ... Yes if people go and see it."

And Joanna will gladly take matters into her own hands to ensure there is a follow up.

Speaking previously the 70-year-old actress said: "I am! [planning a sequel]."

"I'll get a GoPro and come round to (Joanna's) house."

Meanwhile, the pair have revealed they were disappointed when they realised the liquid in their champagne flutes on the set of the film were filled with ginger beer and not bubbles.

Joanna explained: "People wanted us to be slaughtered! I rather wish it could be true, though, there were moments where we'd say, 'Could we have a real bottle here?' "

Jennifer agreed: "This is the only sad thing, we don't drink at all."
