Jeremy McConnell has hit out at Stephanie Davis.

After pregnant former 'Hollyoaks' actress Stephanie revealed her baby bump in a new cover interview with OK! magazine, Jeremy took to social media to write: "a baby doesn't fix a toxic relationship".

He posted a screenshot of a previous interview he did, where he said that if he is the father of Stephanie's unborn baby, he would be "100 per cent the best dad in the world" and added: "Article I done months ago, time will tell, I don't need to reiterate again. We were broke up for weeks.

"Everything will be dealt with accordingly and mature, but a baby doesn't fix a toxic relationship, end of discussion (sic)."

Jeremy, 26 and Stephanie, 23, started dating after meeting on 'Celebrity Big Brother' and he previously insisted he doesn't believe he is the father.

But Stephanie wants to film her child's birth, in case Jeremy later decides he wants to be a part of the little one's life.

She told OK! magazine: "I like the idea of a water birth but I've heard you can't have an epidural with that. As it's my first time I'll be wanting as much pain relief as I can get. I want to film the birth just in case Jeremy sorts himself out and wants to see what it was like."

The brunette beauty may only be three months into her pregnancy but she's already started thinking ahead to names and is adamant the baby will take on her surname.

She said: "If I have a boy he's going to be the perfect gentleman - I'll never let him mistreat a girl.

"If it's a boy I'd like to call him Albie as my grandad's name was Albert. He was my everything so I would love his name incorporated with my new baby if I can.

"My favourite girls' name at the moment is Freya-Lucia. Either way the baby will have my surname, not Jeremy's."
